Before ending the call, he warned me that the photograph had not first appeared from an ordinary passenger. Someone had emailed it directly to a media account before we left the airport, complete with Luke\u2019s name, title, and the false description of me as his wife.<\/p>\n

By midnight, his notarized statement had reached my attorney, Valerie Brooks. It clearly explained that Luke had assisted an unrelated passenger and her child and that claims of a personal relationship were untrue.<\/p>\n

I spent the day gathering proof: the emptied accounts, Eric\u2019s threats about child support, and photographs of my belongings left outside the locked townhouse. Each document reopened a memory I would rather have left closed.<\/p>\n
