Javier felt offended by his friend’s rejection. He then saw the wife coming down the stairs. She looked beautiful in her dress and had a big smile on her face as she held many flowers in her arms.
“Sam, I just found this bouquet on the table in our room. Did you put it there?” she asked with a smile. She immediately gave her husband a kiss on the cheek.

“Yes, surprise! And I brought you something else…” he said, showing her a bag he was hiding behind the front door. His wife opened it and took out a beautiful evening dress.

Javier was stunned by what he had just witnessed. “Sam, your wife is beautiful, and you two look so in love! My wife always looks miserable. I hardly ever see a smile on her face,” he said.
“When was the last time you asked someone out?” Samuel asked her.
“I can’t remember… Two years ago, maybe?” Javier replied.
“The last time you asked her out was two years ago, and you complain that she doesn’t smile?!” he said humorously, punching his friend on the arm.
Shaking his head, Samuel decided to give Javier some valuable advice. “You know, man. I make every day special for my wife. She is the light of our home. She deserves everything. I try to let her know how much I love her every day.”
Javier stood there, reflecting on his friend’s words. He realized the way he had treated his wife over the past few years.
“When I take my wife on a date, it’s not because it’s a special day. It’s because I choose to make every day special. Give it a try, buddy. It could do wonders for your marriage,” Samuel suggested.
Javier nodded. They were almost the same words his wife had said to him minutes before. “Thanks, Sam. Well, enjoy your date tonight. I’ll be heading home.”

When Javier returned, he had a gift for Mary. “I’m sorry I hurt you with my words. I was being disrespectful and you don’t deserve it,” he said, handing her a box.
“Would you like to go on a date with me tomorrow? I reserved a table for us at that new place downtown…”
Mary looked at Javier, surprised. She was excited and smiled the same cheerful smile she used to show him when they were younger. She opened the box and saw a beautiful silver necklace.
“This is so beautiful, Javier. Thank you. I would love to go on a date with you tomorrow,” she replied.
The next day, Javier saw Mary transform before his eyes. She looked really beautiful. He was very happy, and so was she.
Since then, both Mary and Javier have been determined to work on their relationship, and rekindle the flame between them. This has worked wonders not only for them but also for their family life.
