PART2: I Was Seven Months Pregnant When My Husband Came Home and Found His Sister Inspecting My Arm

I stared at her.

“I haven’t had a private nurse.”

Serena’s mouth tightened.

“The records don’t lie.”

Julian opened the secure trust portal on his laptop.

Twelve payments filled the screen.

NORA VANCE — PRENATAL CARE REIMBURSEMENT.

TOTAL: $86,400.

He turned the laptop toward me.

“Nora, did you receive any of this?”

“Not one dollar.”

Serena moved so fast her chair struck the wall. She reached for the laptop, but Julian pulled it away.

“She built that system,” Serena snapped. “She could have changed anything.”

That was when I understood what she had planned for the trustees that night.

The navy dress wasn’t only meant to hide the marks on my arm.

It was meant to make me look calm while she accused me of stealing.

Serena reached for the laptop again.

I covered it with one hand.

“Don’t bother,” I said.

Her face lost all color.

“The original audit left this house three days ago.”

Part 2

Serena stared at me. “You sent family records outside this house?”

“I sent records with my name on them.”

Julian closed the laptop and took her access card. “Give Nora back her keys and bank card. You’re done managing this house.”

Serena laughed, but her hands shook. “She’s framing me.”

Before I could answer, a hard cramp tightened across my stomach.

At the hospital, the doctor said the baby was safe, but I needed strict rest. The clinic also confirmed that someone calling herself our “family medical coordinator” had canceled my appointment.

Then the independent trustee called.

“I received Nora’s complaint three days ago,” he said. “The external archive cannot be altered. Serena’s access and the disputed accounts are frozen.”

For the first time, Serena looked afraid.

The trustee shared his screen. None of the twelve payments had gone to a doctor, hospital, nurse, or medical transport company.

All $86,400 had gone to the same newly formed LLC.

“Who owns it?” Julian asked.

The trustee opened the incorporation file and went silent.

My name appeared at the top.

My address. My tax information. My digital signature.

“According to these documents,” he said carefully, “Nora created the company.”

I had never seen it before.

Someone had built it so that when the theft was discovered, every trail would end with me.

Part 3

The room fell into an oppressive silence. On the screen, my name, my Social Security number, and a forged digital signature stood like a confession written in stone.

Serena, who had arrived at the hospital room flanked by the family’s estate attorney, let out a short, triumphant sigh. The weakness in her posture vanished, replaced instantly by her familiar, razor-sharp composure.

“There it is,” she said smoothly, leaning over the trustee’s desk. “She set up a shell company using trust funds, intercepted her own medical mail, and now she’s trying to blame me because she got caught. Julian, look at the evidence. She was drowning in debt before she married you. This was her exit strategy.”

Julian didn’t look at her. His eyes were fixed on me, pale and searching.

“Nora,” he said softly, his voice trembling under the weight of the accusation. “Tell me you don’t know what this LLC is.”

“I don’t,” I said, forcing my breathing to stay even against the dull ache in my lower back. “I’ve never seen those incorporation papers in my life.”

“Of course she says that!” Serena snapped, pulling a folder from her purse. “She used to work in corporate compliance! She knows exactly how to set up an offshore entity. She thought she could hide behind her pregnancy.”
